Kenyah Pickett, 32, was arrested Thursday after police said he was selling heroin out of an apartment on 19th street in Paterson, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said.

Detectives raided the apartment and found 14 grams of raw heroin, 200 glassines of packaged heroin and more than 50 grams of marijuana, Berdnik said.

Pickett was charged with six total counts of drug possession and intent to distribute, the sheriff said. He was already out on bail for a weapon possession charge from November 2015 when arrested, Berdnik said.

"The fact that this alleged drug dealer was arrested while out on bail for weapons violation is disturbing," he said. "I commend the officers involved in this investigation and narcotic search."
